April Quarantine Live Streaming Schedule: Events & Activities to Curb Cabin Fever

March sure did present us with some unfamiliar, unprecedented times. A lot has changed in a short time. Coronavirus has disrupted our normal routines and while it is scary, we want to remind you that you’re not alone! As we look forward towards April and prepare to live our lives a little differently, we thought we’d round up some online events and activities that you can enjoy throughout your time in quarantine to keep you connected with everyone else going through self-isolation, and hopefully reduce your anxiety a little bit as well.

CIARA’S INSTAGRAM LIVE WORKOUT

It's going to be super important to keep some structure in your daily life through an entire month of self-isolation, and having a steady exercise routine is great for both your physical and mental health. London-based fitness guru, Ciara, offers a daily Instagram live workout to burn fat and sculpt your body. If you’ve ever felt a bit self-conscious in the gym,  this is the perfect time to start your fitness journey in the comfort of your own home. We love her daily workouts because it’s like having your own personal trainer without having to make the commute to the gym.

Check out Ciara’s Instagram page for full workout schedules.

DJ SPOONY : 'SPOONY’S HOUSE' FACEBOOK LIVE DJ SET

Missing your weekends out on the town? You're in luck - DJ Spoony is here to provide your Friday night entertainment over on Facebook in the meantime. Bringing you house, old-school UK garage and a hilarious comments box, DJ Spoony pulls out all the stops to give you your weekly club fix. You might even find you enjoy the tunes better quarantined in your own space rather than a crowded club. Why not tag your friends and join the party together? You don’t have to be quarantined in your house the entire month, spend your Friday night at Spoony’s House instead.

CLUB COMMISSION : ‘UNITED WE STREAM’

United We Stream is an initiative that was created to “save” Berlin’s club culture during these challenging times. Club culture is a huge part of Berlin’s identity and is, in fact, what brings a lot of tourists into the city. United We Stream was launched to give us access into this exciting world from the comfort of our own home, as well as to raise money to support the sudden unemployment of many of the city’s nightlife venues and artists. Get your virtual club ticket and stream a range of live dj sets and performances. Self-isolation doesn’t mean you have to be restricted from new, fun experiences or isolated from the world.

ZOOS VICTORIA : ‘ANIMAL HOUSE’ LIVE ZOO STREAM

We think this is the perfect activity for some relief from the COVID-19 mayhem. For those of you missing the natural world, Zoos Victoria is bringing the zoo to you with live streams from the animal enclosures. You might be stuck indoors, but there’s a chance you’d never have seen snow leopards, penguins and lions from across the world on another occasion. Don’t miss special guest appearances from Healesville Sanctuary’s adorable tree-kangaroos and echidnas.

NATIONAL GALLERY OF VICTORIA VIRTUAL TOURS

If self-isolation is starving you of mental stimulation, get your creative fix from the National Gallery of Victoria. They may have had to shut their physical doors to the public, but this art museum in Melbourne is offering virtual 3D tours of their galleries instead. Move your cursor along the floors and enrich your mind with beautiful art and fashion displays. Don’t miss 'Collecting Comme’ - Australia's first exhibition dedicated to Japanese fashion label, Comme des Garçons.

SMITHSONIAN NATIONAL ZOO ANIMAL ENCLOSURE LIVE FEEDS

Hungry for more animal magic? The American Smithsonian zoo continues to set up their animal webcams even through staff quarantine. Coronavirus has created a really difficult situation for charitable ventures so it’s important to keep showing support for businesses like the Conservation Biology Institute. Witnessing live animal feeds from the (literal) safety of self-isolation just shows you the range of their incredible work. Fun and educational, for everyone.

BOILER ROOM DJ SET LIVE STREAM

London-based music broadcasting platform, Boiler Room, has transformed its 40 cancelled shows into a series of live stream music sessions direct from the artists’ homes and private spaces. Watch and listen to live dj sets and performances, without having to splash out on drinks. The company is also encouraging viewers to donate and help support those who COVID-19 has made vulnerable. Join the party and goodwill! The full events schedule is available on the Boiler Room website.

ROLLING STONE : ‘IN MY ROOM’ IGTV SERIES

Rolling Stone’s ‘In My Room’ IGTV series aims to keep us connected to the artists we know and respect as we’re stuck in self-isolation. The effect of Coronavirus means you could feel alone or mentally quite isolated, but Rolling Stone wants to remind us of the healing abilities of music. This programme gives us intimate access to artists that are in the same boat as us to keep our spirits high. Episodes are released Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 3pm ET on the Rolling Stone IG page.
