Everyone knows Brazil for its vibrant carnival identity, so it would only be right for the South American country’s national drink to be refreshing, sugary, and full of zest too. The star element of this cocktail is the liquor cachaça, which is described as similar to rum, but it’s fermented sugar cane juices give the drink a distinct refreshing, vegetal taste.
- 2oz cachaça
- 2tsp sugar
- Lime slices
- Muddle the sugar and lime in an old fashioned glass
- Add ice
- Add the cachaça and stir
- Garnish with lime
BERMUDAN DARK ‘N’ STORMY
Dark ‘n’ Stormy is a spicy concoction of dark rum and ginger beer. Despite its name, Dark ‘n’ Stormy is a tasty summer cocktail that will transport you to the Caribbean.
- 2oz dark rum – Gosling's Black Seal if you would like to do it the ‘proper’ way
- 3oz ginger beer
